““Two weeks ago, I contacted Helen and asked about a distant Reiki session. I told her what was on my mind and where I thought I needed support. Helen knew exactly how to best address my concerns. What I did not expect was to have improved mobility after the session. Let me explain: Wednesday morning, while in a yoga class, I noted how different my left hip range of motion was from my right. I thought nothing of it. It was not painful, nor did it adversely affect my yoga practice. It was more noting that for some reason, my whole left leg is more restricted than my right. I never mentioned this to Helen, and it certainly was not the reason for reaching out to her. Our session was for the next evening—a Thursday. I returned to the yoga studio early Friday morning, and immediately noted the symmetry and improved form when going through a yoga flow. I don’t understand the science behind Reiki, but I do have a background in physical therapy. I was convinced my limitations were not “fixable” since I stretch often and have been practicing yoga for 3 years now. I am pleased to note that my improved flexibility remains to this day. This is such an amazing discovery that I am now curious if Reiki is as effective and/or equally effective as a therapeutic massage. My best-educated guess and from my own personal experience, I would have say state a resounding, “YES!” I highly recommend investing in a monthly Reiki session as one would do with massage.
